ReadWorks welcomes LaDarrien Gillette as Development Manager

LaDarrien earned a Bachelor of Arts in International Studies from Spelman College and a Master of Arts in International Law from Emory University. Before joining ReadWorks, as Senior Program Manager at CARE, LaDarrien oversaw the Innovation Hub, a physical space that leases space to nonprofits with similar missions, hosts events, and pilots domestic programs focused on strengthening emergency response in the US Gulf Coast. ​LaDarrien is excited to bring her community engagement, fundraising, and relationship management skills to ReadWorks to ensure teachers have access to educational resources, and students can build their reading comprehension.

ReadWorks team gathers in Nashville, TN 
The ReadWorks team came together in Nashville for a productive, collaborative, and fun retreat! We enjoyed brainstorming new ideas, sharing our partnership work with Vanderbilt University on campus, and participating in team-building activities to bring us closer together. We are grateful for the opportunity to recharge, refocus, and reconnect with our amazing colleagues, and to bring the positive momentum back to our home offices around the country to achieve even greater things for the teachers and students we proudly support!
