- A wide-ranging library - thousands of K-12 texts with academically- and culturally-relevant topics, offering diverse representation to invite curiosity, engage students, and foster meaningful reading experiences
- Expertly-crafted texts - carefully researched and written passages–both nonfiction and fiction–that prioritize content knowledge, vocabulary, text structure, syntax, and empathy
- Supplemental materials - hand-curated content and instructional routines that enhance the teaching of topics across all content areas, commonly-read books, and ELA curricula to build knowledge and vocabulary through effective reading practice
- Research-proven effectiveness - tested in classrooms with results that show educator and student growth

We do this by focusing rigorously on data, best practices, and equity in every aspect of design and strategy and by partnering with educators and students to ensure that all we do is framed by their everyday experiences, challenges, and needs.

A diverse and inclusive offering, including both our content and web platform, is vital to support all students in becoming joyful and successful readers, and a diverse and inclusive organization is required both to meet the needs of our users and to ensure the long-term success of our colleagues. We believe that critical self-evaluation, driven by data and with attention to current research, is key to producing content, curricular supports, and digital tools of the highest quality that meet the needs of our users.
