Help millions of children keep learning with just 15 minutes or $15!
By reading a passage aloud you can help children across the nation access valuable historical knowledge and grow as readers.
The New-York Historical Society and ReadWorks have collaborated to bring world-class history texts to students across the country. Providing these texts read aloud by a real person has many benefits, especially as students continue to miss out on learning experiences like full-time, in-person school and field trips. Read-alouds:
N-YHS and ReadWorks will make your recording available for the 17+ million students accessing these texts across our digital platforms. All it requires is a smartphone, an internet connection, a quiet space, and your most expressive reading voice!
