Level 2: In Our Community
The Level Two partnership between ReadWorks and Whole Phonics focuses on building comprehension as students learn to read. This objective is accomplished through two main goals:
- The first is to enhance Whole Phonics decodable books by pairing each with curated ReadWorks articles that build background knowledge
- The second is to develop sentence-level comprehension through syntax instruction based on both the decodable books and corresponding articles
