All stories will have the opportunity to be published on social media, and under the Comprehension Chronicles section on the ReadWorks blog!

It's super easy to participate: 

1. Click here to submit a text or video version of your story by July 15th, 2025.
2. We'll send you a confirmation email about if and when your story is published. 
3. We will announce the top three story winners in July 2025! 

​Get Inspired

What Makes a Great Story:​

• Share a bit about yourself and your students
• Present a challenge or obstacle you faced
• Describe the action you took to address it
• Highlight any growth, change, or shift that occurred
• Conclude with an outcome, takeaway, or resolution​
• Be specific

Submission Guidelines:

• Written stories should be between 1,000–3,000 words
• Video submissions should be no longer than 4 minutes
• Images are encouraged (please ensure you have permission to share them)

Story categories​
​

• Using ReadWorks resources (e.g., Article-A-Day, Spanish-English Paired Texts, Decodable Texts, Book Studies, or Standards Alignments)
• Selecting topics or grade-level texts that supported student growth
• Demonstrating growth in reading comprehension
• Demonstrating growth in vocabulary
• Building background knowledge through ReadWorks
• Increasing student confidence in reading
• Responding to a specific literacy challenge using ReadWorks
• Differentiating instruction with ReadWorks tools
