ReadWorks Launches New Alignment with Decodable Texts

ReadWorks has partnered with the University of Florida Literacy Institute (UFLI) to engage early readers with valuable decoding practice while building students' knowledge with our brand new UFLI alignment.
This is part of ReadWorks' ongoing efforts to bring together the two critical pieces of the science of reading – word recognition and language comprehension – into one easy package for teachers to use to supplement popular phonics curricula, like UFLI, for free.

ReadWorks & Storyshares 2024 Writing Competition

ReadWorks has teamed up with Storyshares for an exciting writing contest where participants can create an alternative ending to the five-part fiction series Hacked! This collaboration encourages creativity and literacy development through engaging student readers and writers.

The Storyshares annual contest runs from September 18, 2024, to January 13, 2025, offering writers the chance to win up to $2,000 and get published both digitally and in print.

ReadWorks Kicks Off Fiscal Year in Chicago

The ReadWorks team came together in September to plan, strategize, and engage in some team bonding activities. The city's vibrant culture and diverse experiences inspired fresh ideas and innovative thinking among colleagues.

Work sessions focused on remote work culture, funding priorities, and updates on programmatic areas. Ultimately, the retreat cultivated a renewed sense of purpose and motivation, which has been driving productivity and engagement upon returning to the amazing work we do.
